Meher's killer to be nabbed soon: Mulayam
Lucknow, Mar 26 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today asserted that the prime accused in the murder of Meher Bhargava will be arrested soon.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Yadav said while two more persons have been arrested today, the remaining accused would be caught shortly. ''The police is making all out efforts... no one would be spared,'' he said.
Earlier, Mr Yadav paid floral tributes to Meher Bhargava, a former lawyer and wife of Congress leader Luv Bhargava, who died yesterday at a Delhi hospital after being shot at in the UP capital last month for scolding men who had passed lewd remarks on her daughter-in-law.
Mr Yadav visited Hazratganj residence of the Bhargavas' and laid floral wreath on the body of Ms Bhargava.
Ms Bhargava was shot and injured by one Sachin Pahadi in the busy Hazratganj area on February 28 last, when she protested against lewd remarks being passed by Pahadi and his friends over her daughter-in-law.
The former lawyer, who was partially paralysed following the bullet injury, breathed last at a hospital in the national capital yesterday.
