John Britas presented with K V Daniel memorial award

Thrissur, Mar 26 (uni) Managing Director and Editor of Kairali People channel John Britas was presented with this year's K V Daniel memorial award for mediapersons by Kerala Assembly speaker Therambil Ramakrishnan at a function here today.

The award, consisting of Rs 10,001 and a citation, has been instituted in the memory of the late K V Daniel, the founder editor of Telegraph daily, the first Malayalam evening daily in Kerala.

Social critic and writer Sukumar Azhikode presided over the function. Malayala Manorama Resident Editor Joy Sasthampaddikkal delivered the K V Daniel memorial lecture.

Thissur mayor Prof R Bindu was the chief guest.
