Isolated rains in some places in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 26: Isolated rain or thundershowers occurred at some places in Kerala, while dry weather prevailed over Lakshwadeep, local Met office said here today.

Thodupuzha and Karipur airport recorded three and one cm of rainfall.

The sudden rains were due to convective clouds over the region which are formed due to extreme heat during the day time, the Met office said.

Meanwhile. Kannur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature of 24 degree Celsius was recorded at Kochi.

The Met office also warned of isolated rain or thunder showers over Kerala and Lakshwadeep in the next 48 hours.
