Imposter duo seeking divorce on behalf of real couple held

Kanpur, Mar 26 (UNI) In an incident akin to a Bollywood potboiler, an imposter couple was arrested today while trying to seek divorce on behalf of a real couple at a Lok Adalat here.

Police said here that Shashi Kumar and Veena were married about ten years ago, but were living separately. Shashi was insisting on divorce but Veena was reluctant on his proposal.

The counsel of Shashi Kumar today brought a couple posing as Shashi and Veena before the presiding officer of the family court.

Getting a sniff of Shashi's plans, Veena reached the court and foiled the plans.

The imposter couple, Ajay Singh and Reena Yaday, were immediately arrested, while the search for the real husband Shashi was on.
