Gulbarga, M'rashtra police to work together to nab accused
Gulbarga, Mar 26 (UNI) The district police have joined hands with the Maharashtra police to nab the accused in the case relating to the open firing at Aland Taluka Panchayat Vice-President Ashok Savaleswar and another member M Nagure here on March 20.
Police said here today that the Maharashtra police had joined in the operation as the accused in the case, Shivappa Varik, Suryakanta and Karim, were wanted in several cases in that state.
It may be recalled that a four-member gang from Kajuri village had shot at the two panchayat members in their office premises on March 20. Both of them sustained injuries in the attack and were admitted to a hospital. One of the gang members, Ramesh Varik, was killed in the counter attack by TP officials on the same day.
The police had formed two special teams to nab the accused.
