Guj Cong suspends Nimaben for anti-party activities

Ahmedabad, Mar 26 (UNI) Gujarat Congress today suspended its Anjar constituency MLA Dr Nimaben Acharya for six years from Party's primary membership for her involvement in anti-party activities.

This decision was taken by the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Bharat Solanki on the basis of a report submitted by party's team of observers which was sent to Kutch district to find out the truth in the complaints of local workers against Dr Acharya for her alleged involvement in anti-party activities, a party statement said here.

The GPCC observers team in its report confirmed the involvement of Dr Acharya in anti-party activities, following which Mr Solanki in consultations with other senior Congress leaders took the decision to suspend her for six years' from the Party's primary membership, the statement added.
