Five cops suspended for custodial death of BJP worker

Moradabad, Mar 26 (UNI) Five police personnel have been suspended in connection with the alleged custodial death of a BJP worker here.

Official sources here today said five policemen, including the inspector in-charge of Didauli Kotwali, Subhash Kajla, two sub-inspectors and equal number of constables have been suspended in connection with yesterday's death of BJP worker Satish in police custody.

The BJP worker was arrested on March 24 on charges of power theft and was later allegedly beaten heavily in police custody following which he died yesterday.

Taking swift congizance of the incident, all five police personnel have been suspended and a case of murder registered against them, sources added.
