DMI to support DPF in TN assembly poll

Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Mar 26 (UNI) Dravida Makkal Iyakkam (DMI) today chalked out various programmes to work for the victory of the AIADMK-led Democratic People's Front (DPF) in the ensuing assembly elections of Tamil Nadu.

After attending the meeting of the party's district unit, Iyakkam Founder President Oviam said the party office-bearers have been addressing the workers in the districts to ensure the victory of the DPF.

Ms Oviam despite the denial of seats to DMI by the AIADMK, her party would work for the victory of DPF candidates in the poll.

DMI wanted to contest from Gudiyatham and in one Constituency from Chennai, she added.

In the name of Tamil, the DMK and PMK were cheating the public, and the people of the State would teach them a lesson by reelecting the AIADMK coalition government, she added.
