CRPF electrician arrested for cheating Rs 4.25 lakh

Chennai, Mar 26 (UNI) The Central Crime Branch police today arrested an electrician attached to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at suburban Avadi, for allegedly cheating eleven people of Rs 4.25 lakh on the promise of securing jobs for them in CRPF.

Police said the accused, who collected the money from the job seekers, not only failed to keep his promise but also did not return the amount.

Based on a complaint of one of the eleven victims, the electrician of Mitnamalli village was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
