AP Government misused public money worth Rs 500 crore: TDP

Hyderabad, Mar 26 (UNI) The controversy over misuse of public money to the tune of Rs 400 crore which had rocked the state Assembly for nearly 20 days and the subsequent allegation of the State Government that TDP fabricated documents, has taken another turn today with the TDP alleging that the misuse of funds was to the tune of Rs 500 crore.

Speaking to newspersons here, TDP Deputy leader in the Assembly T Devender Goud and TDP Rajya Sabha member M V Mysoora Reddy, alleged that the State Government resorted to misuse of public funds to the tune of Rs 500 crores and not Rs 400 crores, as alleged earlier.

They also produced showed documents pertaining to the misuse of funds.

Mr Goud also found fault with the AP Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, for stating that he had shown 18 files pertaining to Sripadasagar project to TDP leaders.

He said the Minister only showed six files pertaining to the project.

''It is also unfortunate that the Minister said TDP leaders refused to check the files of the Sripadasagar project when showed in his Chamber'', he added.
