ISI agent arrested in Jaipur
Jaipur, Mar 25 (UNI) Rajasthan police say they have arrested an agent of Pakistan's Inter Service Intelligence (ISI), for spying on the South-Western Command of the Indian Army here.
Police Superintendent (Intelligence) Megh Chand Meena told UNI that the accused, Irshad, a native of Multan in Pakistan, was arrested from the railway station here last evening and was being questioned.
He said Irshad had been in Jaipur for the past one year and was sent by the ISI to spy on the South-Western command. He had been sending information through e-mails and had recently telephoned his bosses demanding money for some important information.
Mr Meena said Irshad had come to Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh to meet his in-laws several times since 1988. Last year, he went to Nepal via Bangladesh on a valid passport and then illegally entered India.
