Vigilance produces challan against AEE, Pollution Control Board.

Srinagar, Mar 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation today produced a challan against Sajad Ali Bhat, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), pollution control board, in the court of Special Judge (Anti Corruption) Kashmir.

A case was registered by State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) on June 29, 2005 on a complaint lodged by one Tasaduq Hussain Bhat, Proprietor Rehbar Stone Crusher Lasjan, that the accused is demanding Rs 20,000 as bribe for renewal of pollution clearance certificate of his stone crusher.

The SVO officials laid a successful trap during which the AEE was caught red handed while accepting bribe.

Later a FIR was registered in police station, Vigilance Organisation Kashmir.

The SVO completed the investigation and send it for accord of sanction to government. However, after obtaining the sanction from the government the challan was produced in a record period of less than six months.

The next date of hearing of the case has been fixed on April 15.
