Two killed in suicide pact

Thrissur, Mar 24 (UNI) A youth and a young girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a fan in a private lodge at Guruvayur today.

The deceased were identified as Nissar (26) and his neighbour and girlfriend Anju (16), hailing from Kumbalangi in Ernakulam district, police said.

The two had reached Guruvayur after midnight. In the morning, the lodge employees called the police as the two did not come out of the room. Police also recovered a letter stating that nobody was responsible for the incident.

Anju was a shop employee in Kochi while Nissar was operating a travel agency in Kumbalangi. Meanwhile, Anju's father had filed a complaint in Palluruthy police station in connection with his daughter's disapparance.
