TMML to support AIADMK

Kancheepuram, Mar 24 (UNI) The Tamil Maanila Muslim League (TMML) will support the AIADMK in the May eight Assembly elections, its President Sheikh Dawood told reporters here today.

"The TMMK will support the AIADMK which has protected the interests of the minorities in the state. Though we have sought seven seats for contesting the elections, we will offer unconditional support even if the ruling party did not allot any seats for us,'' he said during a press conference.

Denouncing the statements of some minority leaders expressing support to the DMK as interests of the minority will be 'well protected under its rule,' Mr Dawood recalled 'instances of anti-minority' action during the regime and condemned the leaders for their pronouncement.
