Sugar price eases on thin buying support
Navi Mumbai, Mar 24 (UNI) Sugar prices drifted lower today on improved offers by stockists, traders in the sugar market here said.
The rates of small and medium grades declined by Rs 19 and Rs 10 per quintal, respectively, on increase of stock supply.
The rates of ex-mill, small and medium grades eased by Rs 15 each per quintal as traders were keen to sell their stocks.
Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,816/1,860, medium grade Rs 1,845/1,910.
Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,780/1,805 and medium grade Rs 1,810/1,835.
