Mathura, Mar 24: A student of G L A College of Engineering and Technology has developed a two-seater electric car, that can be made commercially available in less than a lakh rupees.
Final year Mechanical Engineering student Pradeep Kumar Rahi claimed that the 525-kg vehicle can clock 110 kms when the battery is charged fully, and it roughly incurs an expenditure of 37 paise per km. The vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 66 kms per hour.

''The college management would help him in case Rahi decides to commercially launch the vehicle,'' Mr Agarwal said.

He had visited several automobile factories to get the feel of real life automotive engineering before developing the car.
