PM Manmohan Singh pays visit to Golden Temple

Amritsar, March 24: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, accompanied by his wife Mrs Gursharan Kaur, visited the Golden Temple this morning and paid obeisance.

The Prime Minister, who arrived here at 0600 hrs, spent around half an hour listening to Gurubani in the sanctum sanctorum. He was also presented a 'siropa' (sword of honour) by Golden Temple head granthi Gurubachan Singh. He also did a 'Parikrama' of the temple.

The Prime Minister stayed till 0650 hrs in the temple premises.
