Bangalore, Mar 24 (UNI) Audio Video entertainment leader Onkyo is planning a series of exclusive outlets across the country, targetting mushrooming malls, to enhance its presence.
The Rs 60 crore company, through these outlets called 'Onkyo Wonderland', would offer total AV entertainment products and solutions, Onkyo Sight and Sound India Pvt Ltd Managing Director M A Dandapani told newspersons here today.
The company, aiming to turn a Rs 100 crore company, had opened its first outlet in this tech savvy city and was planning to open similar Wonderlands in Delhi and Pune shortly. This would be apart from the regular selling channels, he said.
Mr Dandapani said ''we are creating an ecosystem where there will be convergence of different bands/products, user benefits and applications under the umbrella of Onkyo.'' Though the company did not have any immediate plans to have a production facility in India, he did not rule out the possibility of investment in that direction once the volume of business enhanced.
Home theatre market was an emerging one in India and Onkyo had 50 per cent share in it. Onkyo was also planning to tap home automation market by offering solutions from US-based companies.
