Assembly adjourned twice
Bhopal, Mar 24: Madhya Pradesh assembly was adjourned twice today amidst furore as Opposition Congress members demanded resignation of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan alleging he held an office of profit.
Bedlam ensued as soon as the House assembled with Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi demanding Mr Chouhan's resignation and ruling BJP members opposing it.
Amidst the din, Speaker Ishwardas Rohani ajdourned the House for 10 minutes. Noisy scenes continued after the House re-assembled with Congress members raising slogans in front of the Chair.
The ruckus continued leading to the second adjournment up to 1130 hrs.
Besides being a Chief Minister, Mr Chouhan is an MP frpm Vidisha.
