Mother kills self and children

Sambalpur, Mar 24 (UNI) A mother killed her two children by mixing poison in the food and later she herself took the food to end her life.

Police said the tragic incident happened in Gaudmal-Jampara under Brajrajnagar police station in Jharsuguda district, 85 km from here.

One Mithila Khadia wife of Bali Khadia, an abnormal lady, while serving food to her two children mixed poison with the rice.

She also took the same food. The two children and the mother later died.

However, an eight-month-old baby survived as she was not served with the food.

Mithila's husband, a daily labourer, was out of home when the mishap took place. On being informed about the incident, police went to the spot and sent the bodied for post-mortem.
