JK assembly adjourns overback door appointments
Jammu, Mar 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly adjourned today for the second consecutive day over alleged backdoor appointments and the opposition's demand for of resignation of Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and flood control Minister Qazi Mohammad Afzal.
The lower house witnessed of uproarious scenes when opposition and treasury benches started throwing papers at each other and exchanging engaged in a herbal duel forcing Speaker Tara Chand to adjourn the House till lunch break. Yesterday the house had been adjourned for the day.
The National conference members demanded resignation of the PDP leader and a notice to him by the chair for breach of privilege, for what leader of opposition abdul rahim rather termed ''misleading the house.''
