Bangalore, Mar 24: Firefox, makers of a spectacular range of super bicycles, designed in the United Kingdom and manufactured in the Far-East, launched over 50 models of its premium international bikes in Karnataka today (Mar 24, 2006).
Speaking after inaugurating the state-of-the-art Firefox Bike station here, Firefox Bikes Marketing Manager in India Hemand Dewan said from kids bikes to all terrain and BMX and Road Bikes, Firefox showcased an entire range in the Indian market, available from Rs 2,900 for kids to Rs 23,000 for top-end adult model.
He said with the introduction of the Firefox range of bicycles, a new avenue of adventure and leisure sports had opened up for youngsters. The super bikes come with unique features like light-weight alloy frame, hi-tech Shimano gears, disc brakes and dual suspension.
Mr Dewan said ''The city life is becoming more and more stressful leading to lifestyle diseases quite early in life and in this scenario the Firefox is introducing the magic of biking, that combines the thrill of competitive sports with the joy of fun and family activities, a sport that has been universally recognised as one of the finest forms of exercise.'' Stating that at present there was no proposal to market the Firefox bikes through franchisees, he said that within six months of introduction of the Firefox bikes in India, over 1,000 units of different models had been sold out and exuded confidence that it would cross 10,000 units in the next two years.
