Hyderabad, Mar 24 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today offered to place the files on the Sripadasagar Project at the chambers of the Irrigation Minister tomorrow evening for perusal by the Floor Leader and one or two MLAs of the TDP.

Speaking to newspersons here, Government Chief Whip Kiran Kumar Reddy said the TDP earlier refused to peruse the files with Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, saying they should be kept at the Speaker's chamber.

Today, suddenly the TDP demanded the concerned Minister to place the files before them at 1500 hrs. There is a procedure and a time has to be fixed before making the demand,'' he said.

Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy claimed that the TDP treated the House as their party office. ''They cannot make demands as per their whims and fancies,'' he said.

Accusing the TDP of trying the drag the issue on for 20 days, he said the party did not show any interest to peruse the files when Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy offered to keep them with the Irrigation Minister.

The Minister said the TDP's behaviour was intended to divert the attention of the House from holding discussions on the 850 acre IMG Land Scam which occurred under their (TDP) regime.

The House was also scheduled to take up discussions on the welfare of Backward Classes (BCs) under Rule 304. Since, the proceedings were stalled, the House had to be adjourned.

This clearly showed the TDP's concern for the BCs in the state, he said.
