Air force to provide disaster management training

Mumbai,Mar 24 (UNI) Air Force will hold a camp in association with Maharashtra Government in training the state personnel for conducting relief operations during heavy rains and floods.

South West command Air Marshal P K Mehra called on Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh at Mantralaya here to discuss the issue.

Since Air Force help is always sought to undertake relief and rescue operations in remote and hilly areas during such calamities, the training would focus on how conduct such operations.

The Chief Minister said the training would be completed before the coming Monsoon.
