ADM denied bail

Patna, Mar 24 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna Ram Niwas Prasad today rejected the regular bail application of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Katihar Shiv Ratan Prasad in a case related to irregularities committed in distribution of Coal permit.

According to charges, accused Mr Prasad had committed irregularties in distribution of coal permits granted to several people during his tenure as district supply officer at Supaul.

The case was registered by state vigilance investigation bureau in the year 2005.

ADM Mr Prasad was remanded to judicial custody on February 2 this year after his arrest in the case.
