Ranchi, Mar 23 (UNI) A three-day workshop on Kisanvani was organised here today to share experiences of 'second' green revolution with audience research units of All India Radio across the country and chalk out future strategies.

The new avatar of Akashvani, Kishnvani is serving the Indian farmers to accelerate 'second green revolution' and improve Indian economy as well.

The AIR Director said the audience research Directorate General Dr M N Jha in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture had started a weekly feedback survey from December 12, 2005 in the primary coverage zone of 86 AIR, FM stations spread over 24 states and three UT's.

In the first phase, spanning over three months, 20,000 farmers (sample respondents) from 22 villages across the country were interviewed.

A similar number of farmers would be interviewed in the second phase beginning from April 1, 2006. Thus, feedback from 44000 farmers would be collected within a period of six months.

This would be the biggest feedback survey ever conducted by any media organisation in such a short duration, the AIR Director said.
