U.S. stocks dip at open; Adobe outlook weighs

NEW YORK, Mar 23 (Reuters) U.S. stocks edged lower at the opening on Thursday, with a disappointing outlook from software maker Adobe Systems Inc. weighing on the tech sector.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 13.29 points, or 0.12 per cent, at 11,304.14. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was down 2.13 points, or 0.16 per cent, at 1,302.91. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 4.94 points, or 0.21 per cent, at 2,298.41.

Shares of Adobe fell more than 2 per cent to .86 on the Nasdaq.
