TRS chief performs 'yaga' for Telangana

Medak, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 23 (UNI) Union Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) Supremo K Chandrasekhara Rao today performed 'Sahasra Chandi Yaga' here for speedy formation of separate Telangana state.

Speaking to newsmen later, he said with BJP President Rajnath Singh declaring his party's support for Telangana, creation of the new state remained a mere formality.

Asserting that Andhras and the people of Telangana could not continue to live together, he said the separate state would soon become a reality.

The TRS chief clarified he clamoured for a separate state as only then the region could experience development. The struggle was not for power.
