Telcos given time till July 2 to comply with FDI norms
New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) The Cabinet today gave its ex-post-facto approval for a four-month extension, till July 2, for telecom companies to comply with the conditions under the FDI hike from 49 per cent to 74 per cent.
A Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, also gave approval to the agreement signed on October 19 with Iceland for cooperation in the fields of culture and education, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
