Sonia's resignation letters sent to PM, LS Speaker: Dasmunsi

New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi's letters of resignation from the Lok Sabha membership and the NAC Chairpersonship have been forwarded to Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh respectively.

''The two letters are on the tables of'' Dr Singh and Mr Chatterjee, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters while briefing them on the decisions of the Cabinet.

Mr Dasmunsi also said he was not aware whether any decision has been taken by Mr Chatterjee who was leaving on an overseas tour this evening.

Dr Singh is also leaving for Amritsar this evening to flag off the Amritsar-Nankanasahib bus service tomorrow.
