Sonia emerges with higher stature: Jogi

Raipur, Mar 23 (UNI) CWC Member and former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi today said party President Sonia Gandhi once again ''emerged with higher stature'' by resigning from the Lok Sabha.

Reacting to her resignation from the Lower House and as National Advisory Council chairperson following a controversy over MPs holding offices of profit, he pointed out that she earlier declined the prime minister's post.

''Mrs Gandhi has set yet another example of renunciation.

Power-hungry opposition leaders must realise this,'' he told UNI over telephone.

Mr Jogi said Mrs Gandhi was ''standing tall over moral pygmies,'' were attempting to corner her since long.
