Seven killed, 12 injured in road mishap in AP village

Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 23 (UNI) Seven people were killed and 12 seriously injured when the driver of a lorry, in which they were travelling, lost control and hit a tree near Kuditipalem village in Idukurpeta mandal of this district today.

According to police, four persons died on the spot and three on way to hospital. The seriously injured were admitted to a local hospital for teatment.

About 70 villagers of Kuditipalem village got into a lorry to go to Sri Muthyalamma Jatara, being held in Turpu Kanapur village in this district. After a two-km journey, the lorry driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree, police added.
