Satyam, Nissan sign 5-year IT service deal

Mumbai, Mar 23 (UNI) Satyam Computer Services has entered into a five-year application management services agreement with Nissan North America, the Company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) today.

The Company gave no details of the amount of money involved in the deal.

Satyam has signed the five-year deal to maintain, support, and enhance the application portfolio for Nissan North America.

The deal encompasses an application portfolio spanning multiple business functions, multiple plants and locations and multiple business units.

Nissan has selected Satyam to manage all its mission critical business applications, in its key North American market.

Speaking of the contract, Mr Subu D Subramanian, Director and Sr VP Manufacturing and Automotive Business, Satyam Computer said, ''This business is very strategic for us. This multi year deal further consolidates Satyam's leadership position as an end-to-end solutions provider to global automotive customers.'' Under this engagement, the Company will provide applications management services for Nissan's operations in accordance with stringent Service levels, the Company said.

Nissan's expectation is that the Satyam will deliver superior value at improved service levels while developing an innovative application environment to improve and differentiate Nissan's business.
