Powerful blast rocks communally-sensitive Faizabad

Faizabad, Mar 23: A powerful blast in the storage of the Kotwali here rocked the communally-sensitive city late last night (Mar 22, 2006), police today said.

No casualty, however, was reported in the blast that occured due to the gunpowder stored in the Kotwali going off, they added.

The gunpowder meant for making crackers was seized during the last Diwali. The blast resulted in panic in the city, which was fast asleep, police added.
