Penurious couple commit suicide alongwith infant son

Kanpur, Mar 2 (UNI) A poverty-stricken couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a running train alongwith their infant son in Govindnagar area here today.

Police said here that Rajkumar (25) and Basanti (24), residents of Dadanagar area, resorted to the extreme step by jumping before a running train along with their infant son. All the three were killed on the spot.

Abject poverty was suspected to be the reason behind the extreme step, police added.
