NSCN (K) militant surrenders with arms

Itanagar, Mar 23: A NSCN-K militant surrendered before the Commandant of 23 Assam Rifles and Tirap district Deputy Commissioner (DC)at Khonsa yesterday.

Yumrin Nokpa Hamtok surrendered with one 30m-2 US carbine and 10 kg IED, official sources said.

Appreciating the efforts of Assam Rifles in combating militancy, the DC said the civil administration would expedite the implementation of rehabilitation package so that they could shun the path of violence and live a civilized life, sources added.
