No major impact from Microsoft Vista delay: Samsung

Seoul, Mar 23: Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. the world's top maker of memory chips, expects no material impact from a delay in the release of Microsoft Corp.'s Vista operating system, a Samsung executive said on Thursday (Mar 23, 2006).

''Samsung doesn't expect any material impact from the delay of Vista,'' Chu Woosik, senior vice president of Samsung's investor relations, said by telephone. ''Samsung still expects a very strong DRAM (dynamic random access memory) market during the second half of this year".
