New office timing in Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 23 (UNI) With considerable improvement in the weather conditions, the divisional authorities in Kashmir have decided to change the office timing in the valley with effect from April, first, an official spokesman said.
He said the working hours in all the government offices and institutions will be 1000 hours to 1600 hours from April 1.
However, educational institutions located with the Sriangar Municipal Corporation Limits have been exempted.
The office timing during the winter months, when the seat of the government, including Chief Ministers' office remains at winter capital Jammu, was 1030 hours to 1630 hours.
He said these timings shall remain operative up to October 31 2006.
All the heads of departments and offices have been asked to ensure strict adherence to the office timings.
