Multi-level parking solution launched
Chennai, Mar 23 (UNI) Ram Ratna Infrastructure Private Ltd, a member of the Rs 1000 crore Ram Ratna group, Mumbai, launched RR Parkon range of space-effective and computerised 'Multi-Level Parking Solutions' (MLPS) models here today.
Soon after the launch, Company President Shree Gopal Kabra told reporters the models included tower parking system, puzzle parking system, mini rotary parking system and jack parking system.
The systems were manufactured in technical collaboration with South Korea's DAE JIN, RR Parkon's MLPS, the first to be launched in South India. It created horizontal and vertical parking spaces with independent steel structures to park more vehicles in less space.
He said the MLPS ranged from a 2-car unit ideal for bungalows and individual residences, to a 50-car module for shopping and commercial complexes. The cost of the solution was between Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3.3 lakh per car respectively. All the models had computerised control systems and could be fitted up to four levels from the ground. The products adhere to the Korean and Japan industrial standards and came with a 25 year warranty against manufacturing defects, he added.
To a question, he said inadequate parking space was a big infrastructural bottleneck, especially in metros. Today, even small office complexes and residential apartments needed parking space for at least 10 to 30 cars, which needed 1500 sq feet of space. This could be brought down to one tenth - that is, parking for 50 cars could be provided in 450 sq feet.
The company's Senior Vice-President Balachandran Dharmen, said in South India, the company would be signing nearly 20 projects in the next three months. This included seven projects in Chennai, six in Bangalore, four in Hyderabad and three in Kochi.
They were targeting revenue of Rs 40 crore and installation and customer base of 40 in the southern states by 2006-07. It had already sold over 40 MLPS units in North India and was eyeing export market in the Middle East, he added.
