Martin wins discus with final throw

MELBOURNE, Mar 23 (Reuters) Australian Scott Martin threw 63.48 metres in the final round to win the men's discus at the Commonwealth Games today.

Canada's Jason Tunks had led from the opening round with a throw of 63.07 but had to settle for the silver medal, just as he did in Manchester four years ago.

Tunks's compatriot Dariusz Slowick took the bronze medal with 61.49.
