Labourer dies, four injured in mishap at construction site

Ahmedabad, Mar 22 (UNI) A labourer was killed and four others were injured when they were trapped under a heap of mud at a construction site in the heart of the city today.

''They were working in the basement of a building complex being constructed at Mithakhali, when they got trapped under a heap of mud, which had been dug,'' police Inspector N B Nagori said.

Fire brigade teams were immediately rushed to the spot. While four labourers were pulled out alive, one later died, he said.

The deceased was identified as Ramsinh Bhai (35).

A case has been lodged against the builder on charges of negligence under sections 337, 338 and 304, he said.
