Killers of Aligarh former MLA nabbed

New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) Police today nabbed six contract killers allegedly involved in the March 20 killing of a former MLA from Aligarh from Khajuri Khas area of North-East Delhi this morning.

The accused, involved in the killing of former Algarh MLA Malkhan Singh, were arrested after a brief encounter from Yamuna Khadar in Khajuri Khas at about 1150 hrs while they were waiting for their associates, according to the police.

Two pistols, a revolver, eleven cartridges, two knives and six mobile phones were seized from their possession.

During interrogation they disclosed about their involvement of Malkhan Singh along with Uttar Pradesh general secretary of Rashtriya Lok Dal, which they said had been carried out at the behest of Aligarh Ex-Zila Panchayat Adhyaksh due to political rivalry.

They had been paid 1.5 lakh for the 'job', they said.
