GM goes 'Chevrolet Indian,' launches Aveo
Hyderabad, Mar 23: General Motors (GM) India today (Mar 23, 2006) kicked off the 'Chevrolet Indian' campaign with the official launch of the Chevrolet Aveo.
The Aveo is the first of three new Chevrolet products making debut in the first six months of 2006. It will be joined by the Aveo U-VA and Optra SRV in the coming months as part of the largest expansion of GM India's vehicle line-up in the company's history.
To be built at GM's manufacturing facility at Halol in Gujarat,the new sedan redefines the small car segment.
''It offers youthful refinement inside and out, a crisp and modern exterior design, generous features typical of more expensive cars and a smcoth and safe driving experience.
''It will go on sale at GM India dealership now onwards,'' a company spokesman told the media here today.
''The Chevrolet Aveo is a global product that incorporates the latest technology and meets the highest standards of quality. It has been re-engineered based on extensive testing across the country to meet the specific needs of our customers as well as local driving conditions and requlations.
The result is class-leading performance and efficiency in an affordable package. It will be available in both 1.4 and 1.6 engine options.''
