Former Mahanand Dairy Executive Director gets bail

Mumbai, Mar 23 (UNI) A local court today released Shivajirao Talekar, the former Executive Director of Mahananda Dairy arrested on the charge of misappropriation of funds, on bail of Rs one lakh.

Releasing on the bail, Additional Sessions court judge Justice N D Deshpande directed him not to leave the jurisdiction of Mumbai without the court's permission, not to tamper with the evidence and to surrender his passport with the investigating agency. Additional Public Prosecutor J U Kenjalkar said Talekar was booked under the Corruption Act by the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The accused persons were charged with the embezzlement of the organisation's funds.

Talekar was also arrested under disprorpotionate assests case for having excess wealth than his known sources of income.
