DRDO unit gets ISO 9001:2000 certification

Bangalore, Mar 23 (UNI) The Microwave Tube Research and Development Centre (MTRDC), an unit of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Bangalore, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification by Intal Quality Certification Pvt Ltd.

The, DRDO said the certification was awarded for the quality management system standard maintained in the manufacture of prototypes as per design provided by design group with activities consisting of piece parts manufacture, assembly, processing and testing of microwave tubes a release here said.

MTRDC's major activity was development of advanced types of microwave tubes to establish self-reliance in this strategic area,it added.
