CCPA recommends proroguing of Budget session of Parliament
New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) today decided to recommend that the Budget session Parliament, which adjourned sine die yesterday, be prorogued.
The recommendation would be forwarded to President A P J Abdul Kalam through the offices of the presiding officers of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, Parliamentary Affairs Minsiter Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
Asked about the government's reported move to promulgate an ordinance to take some posts out of the purview of the offices of profit, Mr Dasmunsi no proposal had been announced by him or the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
It was now upto the section of the media which had given ''speculative reports'' to decide ''how to take forward its reports,'' he said.
