Brick-kiln workers beat UP policemen

Phagwara, Mar 23 (UNI) Two policemen were reportedly beaten up by the workers of a brick-kiln at nearby Jagjitpur village here today.

According to information, the clash took place when Dinesh, an employee of a private construction company went near brick-kiln to dig soil with the help of a machine. The labourers resisted the move, which led to scuffle between the labourers and Dinesh. later, Dinesh reached the site alongwith two policemen from the nearby police station. The labourers, who were adamant on not to allow digging, started beating up the policemen also. Both the injured policemen were admitted in the local Civil Hospital.
