Bomb on Turkish railway defused - report
ISTANBUL, March 22 (Reuters) A bomb was found by a railtrack near an Istanbul train station today but police defused the device, CNN Turk reported on its Web site.
The timed bomb, embedded in a wall clock above the track, was taken to police laboratories for investigation.
It was not clear who planted the bomb. Turkey is often targeted by far-leftists and Kurdish rebels seeking independence, and has also been the victim of bombings claimed by al Qaeda.
