Bank robbed of Rs 5 lakh

Bulandshahr, Mar 23 (UNI) Armed miscreants today raided a district cooperative bank in Aurangabad town here and decamped with Rs five lakh.

Police said four assailants entered the banks's Sadar branch around 1600 hrs and threatened the bank staff with firearms.

They attacked the bank manager and snatched the keys of strong room.

After collecting about Rs five lakh, the criminals escaped on foot after locking the bank staff inside the stong room.

Earlier this month, a similar robbery was committed at a cooperative bank in Chattari area, wher robbers decamped with Rs 30 lakh.
