Assamese journalist selected for Chameli Devi Jain award

New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) Assamese freelance journalist Ratna Bharali Talukdar has been selected for the prestigious Chameli Dev Jain award for outstanding Woman mediaperson this year.

Ms Talukdar was chosen for her contribution in the field by a jury comprising senior journalists-- Pamela Philiposes (Indian Express), Alok Mehta (Outlook Saptahik) and Ajit Bhattacharjee.

The award will be presented to Ms Talukdar on March 30, said a statement by Media Foundation Chairman B G Verghese.
